Join a team of highly-talented and motivated developers writing computer graphics software at a leading Hollywood animation studio. Help redefine how the world develops leading 3D graphics software. Responsibilities include the creation of animation, lighting, and rendering software that optimizes memory usage, takes advantage of local parallelism, and distributes work across a possibly heterogeneous collection of compute nodes. Passion, self motivation, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail are essential.

REQUIREMENTS:
M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science or related engineering field.
- BS degree requires a minimum of 7 years or more years of production software development experience, MS degree requires minimum 5 years experience in the following areas.
- Strong understanding of 3D computer graphics concepts including animation, effects, and rendering.
- Expert in C++ software development and deployment on Linux.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record delivering one or more products to customers.
- Highly self motivated, ability to take own initiatives to solve problems, and to drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
- Experience developing, debugging, and improving scalability of high-performance parallel software, including multi-machine task distribution and data synchronization with fault-tolerance.

  
 DESIRED SKILLS AND PLUSES:
- Demonstrated competency and enthusiasm for application performance, characterization, and optimization.
- Knowledge of low-level CPU and GPU architectures, and GPGPU programming models.
- Experience implementing SIMD-style data-parallel algorithms.
- Experience applying Open, MPI, TBB to implementing parallel solutions
- Experience working in geographically distributed development teams and on multi-company projects.
- Strong debugging skills

ArenaNet is looking for amazing artists with expertise in creating and refining character art assets to working on our block-buster RPG, Guild Wars. Candidates must be able to create eye-popping 3D characters, monsters, heroes and other assorted creatures.

The primary function of the Character Artist is to create character art assets.


REQUIREMENTS:
Essential duties and Responsibilities:

* Use commercial and proprietary software to create high quality character art assets to fulfill the requirements of the project's functional, art and technical specifications.
* Follow the schedules set by the Art Director.
* Understand the requirements and constraints of game design, engine and platform.
* Take direction in style and technique.
* Proactively seek feedback from the Art Director in style and mood.
* Character rigging
